My first experience with Kimchee was at the airport in Seoul, ordered a simple sandwich, and it came with a cabbage soaked in this super red colored juice... so I gave it a try... YUCK!! well, lets just say its a taste that grows on you... cause bye the end of my time in Korea.. I was actually looking forward to my Kimche to have with my Brugogee (beef sliced thin, and cooked at the table in a skillet/wok kinda thing) Gee open flame at the table.. what your eyebrows!!
After a few days the brugogee and kimche where just about all I ate... well all have to go down to little korea on 32nd and 7th one night!! :)
I took a one day DMZ tour, headed up to the DMZ, and down into one of the intercept tunnels the N. Koreans where digging into South Korea. It was a long long way down, the story goes... the South heard the tunnel being dug, then dug an intercept tunnel, when they got there, the North had sprayed coal all around, claiming it was a coal mine, but no coal is in the region,…
