Yes. If your old number is not locked to a contract, and you are the owner of the previous mobile account, you will be able to port your old number into your new Global Gossip SIM. Just let our staff know when you purchase the SIM.
No, all incoming calls and text messages in Australia are free.
The different ways you can recharge your Global Gossip mobile are:
1) Online through www.globalgossip.com with VISA, Mastercard or American Express
2) Over the phone with VISA, Mastercard or American Express through Customer Care by dialling 126789 from your mobile.
3) By texting “recharge” followed by a whole dollar amount and the last 4 digits of the registered credit card to 0428102163, for example ‘RECHARGE XX YYYY’, where XX is the recharge amount and YYYY is the last four digits of the credit card number. You must register your credit card online or by calling up Customer Care to use this option.
4) At any Global Gossip location, go to www.globalgossip.com/locations for a complete list of locations
5) Through any epay location (available at most petrol stations and convenience stores, lookout for the epay logo)
The different ways you can check your remaining credit are:
1) Online through www.globalgossip.com. Just sign in using your account details and follow the links.
2) Over the phone by dialling 126789 and speaking to Customer Care.
3) By texting “balance” to 0428102163. Charges apply.
Dial 126 987 from your Global Gossip mobile and follow the voice prompts. You will be prompted to enter the international number starting with the country code. For example, to call the US you would dialling starting with the country code of 1, to call the UK you would start with dialling the country code of 44.
To dial a landline in Australia, you will need to start with the area code;
NSW and ACT – 02
VIC and TAS – 03
QLD – 07
SA, WA and NT – 08
Followed by the eight digit number. When dialling a mobile simply dial starting with 04.
The first thing you need to do is contact Global Gossip Customer Care (1300 73 83 53) to get your account locked to prevent misuse. You can then go into any Global Gossip retail store and request a SIM swap and your details and credit will be transferred to your new SIM and you can keep your original mobile number. Charges may apply for this.
Your Global Gossip mobile will only work within Australia. However, you can continue using your Global Gossip card (included in your SIM pack at time of purchase) to make calls, on Global Gossip PCs and Wifi.
To send a text with Australia, enter the number starting with 04. For international texts, type + in front of the country code then the mobile number. For example, to send a text to the UK dial +44 followed by the mobile number without the first zero.
Yes. Our rates for doing this are on the website. Please call up Customer Care for assistance. The internet and other data services are only available on “data capable” handsets.
You can use any phone locked to the Vodafone Australia network or an unlocked phone which is not currently under any contract both internationally as well as with an Australian mobile carrier. If you are using an international phone please check with the company you purchased the phone from to make sure there are not any restrictions.
The last 25 call records on your account will be displayed on www.globalgossip.com. Sign in and follow the links.

MyGossip
There are two ways to add your gossip.
1. Go to the home page. If you are logged in you can write your gossip in the top bar. You can also add an image and click post. Your gossip will then be shown on our map as well as in your profile.
2. Log into your account (if you are logged out) and go to your profile. In the Latest gossip section click on New Post.
In your profile find the post you’d like to delete, click the post link above your photo and select ‘Delete Post’.
You can upload your photos as follows:
-Click My Profile
-Click the Upload Files and Photo Albums link in the Latest Albums box. If you'd like to upload to an existing album select Existing albums and pick which album you'd like your new photos to go into. If you'd like to create a new album select new album and then name your album. By selecting make my album private only you will be able to see your photos when you are logged into the Global Gossip site. They will not show up anywhere else on globalgossip.com
-On the next screen you will now be able to upload your images. You can upload multiple images by clicking browse and holding the control key.
If you’d like to upload photos only visible to you, in your profile section select Upload files and photos. By selecting make my album private, only you will be able to see your photos when you are logged into the site. They will not show up anywhere else on globalgossip.com.
-Log into to your Global Gossip account.
-Click on My Profile, then Change Picture
-Click browse and find the location of the image you would like to use. You might have to use a separate photo editing software to resize. If you are on a Global Gossip PC you can use Microsoft Picture Manager to resize or crop your photo.
To change your password:
Click on Account, then the Change password tab.
By clicking on Account, then the Edit privacy options tab you’ll be able to specify whether or not you’d like things like your age, location, favorite members or profiles items be shown to other members.
By unselecting an item it will only be shown to you when you are logged in.
Click on the persons name, this will bring you to their profile page. Now select Add to favourite profile.
You can click on their name which will bring you to their profile. Now click on Send message.

If you know your PIN you can continue to use your credit however you may wish to call Customer Care to get your card disabled to stop other people using your credit. When you are next at a Global Gossip site pick up a new card and your details and credit can be transferred to a new card if your previous card was registered.
Credit is valid for six months from the last recharge or last use, whichever is later. Therefore, so long as you use your card once every six months the credit will never expire.

The fax number is +61 2 9263 0404. A charge of $10 for up to two cards and $5 for each additional card will also be deducted from your phonecard.
Send an email with your postal address to customer enquiries and a card will be posted out to you.
The phonecard can be used from a mobile phone but your mobile carrier will charge you to dial the access number so you will need to check these charges with them.
The call rate from your phonecard will also be higher if you are using the 1300 access number in Australia or the 0800 number in NZ. For full details of these surcharges click on the phonecard link and then search rates.
Wirless / Laptop Access
Just disconnect your device from the network and you should automatically be logged off within a couple of minutes. You can disconnect by either turning off your laptop or disabling your network adapter.
We provide a service that allows you to use your normal SMTP server settings without the need to add in our SMTP server. Any emails you send are automatically redirected through our server, so your normal SMTP server settings should work as long as you use standard SMTP ports.
